Oli Barrett MBE, “the most connected man in Britain”.
The past year and a half have seen many of our networks freeze or begin to disintegrate. Now is the time to rethink who we really want to connect with, and why.
In this talk, Oli Barrett MBE will explore why “networking” is so often seen as a dirty word and how, with a few simple changes, you can become much better connected.
Whether you’re interested in attracting more opportunities, or simply struggling to keep in touch with the people you already know, you’ll hear practical tips and stories from the person WIRED magazine described as “the most connected man in Britain”.
Oli is a serial co-founder who has a shareholding in a variety of businesses including Calm and Troubadour Theatres. He co-founded Tenner (the UK’s largest schools enterprise competition), literacy campaign TOTS (turn on the subtitles), StartUp Britain (with Number 10), and Clean and Cool (helping cleantech scaleups to go global). He is a regular MC and presenter, including for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, the London Business Awards, and the Tech London Advocates.
This talk will help you to send an email to which anyone will reply, give you tips on making better introductions, and guide you into getting more from virtual and real-world events, even if you dread them.
